Todd isn’t new to blending passion with purpose. A self-described “entrepreneurial to the bone” kind of guy, he’s spent his life chasing creative endeavors that inspire people to live curiously. His journey has taken him through nonprofit work, leading an artist community called EAT ART, which provided over 500,000 meals to hungry kids through photography initiatives. And now, with Jetty, he’s found a way to channel that same drive into music, creating an experience that’s as much about connection as it is about entertainment.
“I’ve always believed the key is to find what you love and convince others to pay you to do it,” Todd says. “I’m at a stage in life where it’s less about making money and more about cultivating creativity that inspires others.”
With Jetty, Todd has taken that belief to heart, showing up at events and sharing his passion, and music from the back of a vintage bus. Whether it’s a beach party in Huntington or an intimate gathering in Laguna, the presence of the VW bus brings an undeniable sense of nostalgia and joy to every event.
Inspired by the Masters
Behind every great idea is a bit of inspiration, and for Todd, his shoutout goes to the early DJs of hip-hop. Although he never met them personally, he credits their influence from the late ‘80s and early ‘90s for shaping his approach to music and creativity. “I learned everything about DJing from them,” he says, “and their passion for the craft has stayed with me.”
